Interview with Jonas Brothers’ Kevin

KEVIN Jonas is a super difficult person to interview. It’s not because he is a diva or has superstar-complex but because Kevin loves to repeat his answers … a lot.
During the recent telephone interview from Rome, Italy, the eldest of the Jonas Brothers had similar answers for almost all of the questions, no matter what topics they were on.
“It’s our day out from touring so we’re spending some time enjoying Rome. It’s been great and we’re enjoying our tour and we’re very happy,” said the 22-year-old guitarist.
It is not often that we hear about Kevin Jonas, what with his other brothers Joe and Nick often taking the limelight with their cuteness and love issues.
Joe is infamous for his 27-second break-up on the telephone with country singer Taylor Swift, while Nick once secretly dated Disney superstar Miley Cyrus.
The trio is also famous for the ‘purity ring’ on their left-hand ring finger, which symbolises their promise to themselves and to God that they’ll stay pure till marriage. The only time Kevin ever created a brouhaha for himself was when his parents posted the following message on the Jonas Brothers’ official website earlier this year, announcing his surprise engagement to former hairstylist Danielle Deleasa:
“Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle Deleasa for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our families celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle.”
“I am a guy who likes to enjoy time with friends, and take care of Danielle. We (the Jonas Brothers) don’t fight for attention and we treat each other equally,” said Kevin.
Despite the negative press they got over his engagement (that he’s too young and what not), Kevin said that he knows that he’s making the right decision.
“You know when you’re supposed to be with someone and I know that Danielle is the one for me,” he affirmed.
Looking forward to a married life and making more music, Kevin said that he’s happy doing what they’re doing right now and will continue to do the same. Obviously Kevin is not going in the same direction as Nick, who is planning to release his own solo project under the name Nick Jonas and the Administration. So, does he feel that his brothers outshine him all the time? “Is that what you think?” he asked.
“I don’t know. Do you?” I said.
He thought for a few seconds before stating that each brother has his specific interest and own strength.
“It’s flattering but all that attention comes with the territory,” he said. Though the brothers believe in sharing everything with their fans – through their official website and joint Twitter account – Kevin says that they prefer to keep some things personal.
“I think you set where the line (that divides enough information from too much information) should be. We allow fans to have as much information about us as they can, but not all,” he said. Kevin also reiterated that the brothers do not have separate Twitter accounts. “@jonasbrothers is the only Twitter account we have. The rest are set by impersonators.”
Though on one hand he thinks it’s flattering that fans would do that but at the same time he believes that it’s not great impersonating someone and posting up lies.
But as Kevin said many times, “it comes with the territory”.
The constant attention the brothers get, especially from female fans, hasn’t jaded the boys. And he knows that their moves are all scrutinised and documented by paparazzi and fans.
“The paparazzi, they’re okay. It comes with the territory. We do what we have to do and I think for us, we take one day at a time. We all make mistakes but we cannot always worry about it.”
In fact, Kevin is flattered by all that recognition and is thankful for a fiancee that accepts the situation.
“Fans are really important. Danielle completely understands that and doesn’t get jealous at all,” he said.
Right now, attention and all, the brothers are enjoying what they do and are taking it all in.
“It’s great being a Jonas brother. We get to travel around the world and see different places. We never dreamed of it, but now we have the opportunity to do so,” he said. Well Kevin, it comes with the territory.

So guys, what are your thoughts on this interview? I (Jasmine) don’t know about you all but I was hoping for better. And I think we all know Kevin’s the kind who gives his answers like that. Maybe the interviewer doesn’t know Kevin as much as we do
