Nick Jonas May Release ‘Rose Garden’ As Next Single
Nick Jonas will be in New York City later this week for a stop on his tour with his new side project, the Administration.. And while in town, he’ll also be stopping by “The Late Show With David Letterman,” where the younger Jonas Brother is looking forward to promoting the band and its upcoming debut album, Who I Am, due February 2.
“I think it’s going to be nice to do a late night show,” he told MTV News on the phone from the road. “It seems like a good vibe for this band. I’m happy to have the opportunity.”
The Administration made their live debut last month at the Grammy Nominations Concert with first single “Who I Am.” But shortly after that, they performed a song called “Rose Garden” on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, and Jonas said they might choose that track for their “Letterman” appearance. So, does that mean “Rose Garden” is their next single?
“We’re not completely sure yet. We’re taking it one step at a time,” Jonas responded. “It’s one of my favorite songs on the record, so we’ll see.”
While “Who I Am” is a catchy mid-tempo pop rock tune, “Rose Garden,” is a darker ode to a girl who grew up in unfortunate circumstances. “It is a lot different [than a Jonas Brothers song], but I think it says the right things,” he explained. “And I think it gives a cool story.”
